SYNERGY REDESIGNS & LAUNCHES NEW WEBSITE FOR THE INTREPID FALLEN HEROES FUND

WESTPORT, CT – Synergy Corporate Technologies announced today the re-launch of the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund’s website.

Synergy was hired earlier this year to infuse a fresh new look and more robust technology platform into the fund’s ailing site. As summed up by Dave Winters, the fund’s Executive VP, “The current site, in look and functionality, does not present the fund as the contemporary organization it is.”

The site (http://www.fallenheroesfund.org) features a best in class CMS that gives the Fallen Heroes Fund web staff full control over the entire website with little or no web coding knowledge required. In addition, the updated visual design brings a breath of fresh air and lightness to conform with the organizations perspectives and philosophy.

The new site features information about the new Intrepid Center of Excellence and its research into and treatment of veterans suffering from Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). In addition, visitors to the site can donate to the fund, sign up for a newsletter, access a variety of family resources, and learn how to start and manage their own fundraiser.

Synergy pulled off this herculean feat in less than six weeks start to finish. In the words of Darren Stone, Director of IT for the Fund, “You [Synergy] have performed a miracle. With a shrinking timeline and immovable launch date you have once again delivered as promised. It is a real pleasure to work with such a professional team.”

The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund is a leader in supporting the men and women of the Armed Forces and their families. Begun in 2000 under the auspices of the Intrepid Museum Foundation, and established as an independent not-for-profit organization in 2003, the Fund has provided more than $65 million in support for the families of military personnel lost in service to our nation, and for severely wounded military personnel and veterans. These efforts are funded entirely with donations from the public, and hundreds of thousands of individuals have contributed to the Fund. 100% of contributions raised by the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund go towards these programs; all administrative expenses are underwritten by the Fund’s Trustees.

The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, a national leader in supporting the men and women of the United States Armed Forces and their families, is launching an important new effort to serve our military community. The Fund will design and build the National Intrepid Center of Excellence (NICoE), an advanced facility dedicated to research, diagnosis and treatment of military personnel and veterans suffering from traumatic brain injury (TBI) and psychological health issues.

NICoE will be a 72,000 square foot, two-story facility located on the Navy campus at Bethesda, Maryland, adjacent to the new Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, with close access to the Uniformed Services University, the National Institutes of Health, and the Veterans Health Administration. NICoE will be designed to provide the most advanced services for advanced diagnostics, initial treatment plan and family education, introduction to therapeutic modalities, referral and reintegration support for military personnel and veterans with TBI, post traumatic stress disorder, and/or complex psychological health issues. Further, NICoE will conduct research, test new protocols and provide comprehensive training and education to patients, providers and families while maintaining ongoing telehealth follow-up care across the country and throughout the world.
