He is a consultant and trainer with over 20 years of active industry experience as an architect and developer of Microsoft technologies. Originally from Manchester, England, Steve was formerly a senior technical analyst for ComputerAid (UK) and was part of an outsourced team working onsite at US West (now Quest). Other outsourced engagements included time at British Aerospace, where he built and managed the technical support group. Steve’s tireless pursuit of new and developing technology and his standards for excellence in project management, customer service, and process analysis have helped to drive SYNERGY’s technology solutions business since our inception in 1995. Steve combines his extensive experience in business and resource management with his wealth of knowledge relating to data and systems management, communication systems, virtualization, and web applications, to name just some areas of expertise, to help drive cost-effective and powerful technology solutions for our clients in a host of different industries. Bob Slaymaker SharePoint Consultant As a senior solutions consultant Bob started his career over a two decades ago, working as a laptop repair technician while going to school to work on his degree. He has worked at Synergy as a helpdesk technician, developer, DBA, Webmaster, Infrastructure Engineer, Trainer and finally Consultant since that time. Bob has spent the last several years working with customers on analyzing complex technology problems, identifying and implementing solutions founded on best practices to ensure a successful strategic outcome for the business. Bob’s experience working closely with Synergy clients to identify how SharePoint, cloud and 3rd party tools can be leveraged to solve specific business challenges with well-engineered and structured technology solutions to ensure a successful project outcome. Along with Consulting, Bob works with Synergy clients in all aspects of cloud and SharePoint implementations and migrations. Salary: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year Job Description: Synergy is seeking an experienced Helpdesk Manager (Run Team Lead) for their operations in Westport, CT (occasional remote work offered). The ideal candidate is a team player with excellent communication skills; highly energetic, with a demonstrated love of technology and proven leadership. ​ This position is responsible for overseeing the service desk support to our diverse customer based (primarily remote/by phone but occasionally on-site within the tri-state area). This role, reporting into executive management, will be responsible for providing internal team support and mentorship, as well as hands-on support and relationship management for our customers. ​ Roles & Responsibilities: Work with executive management to adapt, create and then own and lead continuous improvement programs within the team. Ongoing Customer (executive level) Relationship management Manage and mentor a team of support technicians. Creating, managing, and maintaining reports (internal and customer requested) Monitor and assign tickets.
