For 20 years, Synergy has helped businesses large and small by providing diverse business technology services and solutions. The company prides itself on offering highly personal service at the local level to clients. The company began in 1995 and has offices on five continents. A Microsoft Gold Partner, Synergy offers a rich talent pool of technology experts to assist with extra resources or global solutions.
One of the major challenges that Synergy’s customers face is creating and customizing workflows with SharePoint Designer and Visual Studio. Synergy has partnered with Nintex since 2008, implementing Nintex workflow solutions in Australia, Singapore and throughout the United States. Synergy Principal James Beck says he’s been very happy with the partnership and what Nintex Workflow enables Synergy to offer to clients.
“I have found over the years that you’re very good to work with,” Beck says. “You are interested in not only selling the product upfront but in ensuring that customers are happy with it. It’s a product that very quickly gets a return on investment. Nintex is one of the few products out there that we believe sells itself.”
Initially, Nintex platform’s features and ease of use impressed Synergy executives. They recognized that the ability for anyone to pick up a process or a form and convert it into a workflow would be a huge asset to customers struggling with SharePoint’s out-of-the-box options. Synergy researched Nintex and then met with Nintex executives at conferences and industry events to explore forming a partnership.
Clients especially appreciate how quick and easy it is for business users with no technical background to build workflows, according to Australia Regional Manager Ben Creamer and Hawaii Regional Manager Chris Bayot. Instead of having to rely on developers, business users can create workflows themselves. The user-friendly interface means that they see the visual design they’re used to seeing in Visio.
“For us, it gives us that easy sell, that value prop that we can say to someone, ‘This is a product where you do some fantastic stuff with it. With a little bit of training, you can run with it.’ It’s not a requirement for expensive developer resources to make modifications,” Creamer says.
“It’s a much quicker return on investment,” Bayot says. “If they give a request to IT, it sits in a queue. If we can put Nintex Workflow in the hands of the business users, they can create their own solutions following some training and not have to wait. They can get things up and running much more quickly than they otherwise could.”
The Nintex Partner Network runs a fair partnership program, with Nintex offering true and genuine motivation to help partners excel, Creamer says. Nintex helps partners do that by contributing collateral, advertising assets, and co-sponsored events and webinars. Nintex also gives leads to partners instead of competing with partners for business.
“Nintex’s partner program is one of the best we work with globally,” Creamer says. “Nintex’s program is unlike others, where account managers just ring up each month and ask for your sales figures and then hang up. The Nintex team genuinely cares about the customer and the solution. Also, in contrast to other programs, Nintex doesn’t compete with partners for services and sales, and provides assistance whenever needed.”
Since first partnering with Nintex in April 2008, Synergy has developed workflow solutions for customers that get impressive results. In Australia, one Synergy customer benefits from an employee onboarding process that now takes 20 minutes rather than a week because of a Nintex workflow solution.
A few years ago, a bank in the United States conducted a side-by-side comparison of Nintex Workflow and Visual Studio when considering a Nintex workflow solution. One workflow took 10 hours to build in Visual Studio and just three hours to build in Nintex Workflow. Another workflow took 30 hours to build in Visual Studio and also just three hours to build in Nintex Workflow.
Bayot told us that her customers said, “Here are our results. Get us the licenses, please.”
